We are a Jodo Shinshu Pure Land Buddhist temple located in the Little Tokyo area near downtown LA. We are an inclusive community welcoming of all people, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.
Our branch of Buddhism was founded by Shinran Shonin (1173-1263) in the Kamakura Period. He was guided by Honen Shonin, one of the seven patriarchs of our tradition.
